Swamp House

Over the river and through the hills at the edge of Sim City is a large swampy lot that has sat vacant for years. The natural beauty of this place has attracted many potential buyers, but since the ground is so swampy and is unable to be filled in, buyer after buyer has turned away from it.

Your challenge this month is to build a house on the lot provided (Lot 50) without changing the terrain (water and hills). You may remove the trees and use any custom content or fakes you choose. You may remove certain water tiles and replace them with identical water tiles so that you can place objects/columns over the water if you choose, but you can not change the shape of the river/swamp itself.

You have until 12:00am (GMT-4) April 30, 2011 to submit an entry. This is an anonymous contest, so no one will know your identity until after the contest ends. All entries will be judged by all members through a Poll on the front page. The poll will be open for 4 days, then the winners will be announced on May 5, 2011.

Remember, all participants receive a participation prize and a special blinkie for entering the contest. You also receive BBQ Hot Tub Points, which are just a fun way to recognize our contest participants on the Home page.

Here's what to do:

1. Create your entry and get pictures of it (must be jpg or gif pictures)
2. Put all your pictures in a zip file. You may add a text file with any photo descriptions, etc., to your zip, and they will be added to your pictures. Send it by e-mail to webmaster@ctoccasions.com. This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or hypnotiq920@gmail.com. We will create an album for you in our Photobucket account, and we will put the link in your entry. Please do not put the pictures in your own Photobucket account, since the address of your account will be shown on your entry, and you would no longer be anonymous.
3. Click the link for "Submit Contest Entry"
4. Give your entry a title, and be sure to select the correct contest name as the category.
5. Write a short description of your entry, and include one picture. Insert the picture the same way you do when you upload a file to CTO - see this FAQ for details.
6. You may also include a shopping list in your description.

Your entry will not be posted immediately, but must be approved by an Administrator. This is not to judge your entry, but simply to check it for formatting before it is posted, and add the link to the photo album. Your name will not be shown on your entry, and all entries must remain anonymous until the contest is over. When the contest closes, a Poll will be posted so all members may vote on their favorite. There will be no repeat voting in this poll, to keep the results fair. The votes are also anonymous, so no one will know who voted for which entry.

Have Fun and Good Luck!

Here are the prizes for this contest. All participants will receive one of them, and the winner will receive both prizes. These files will be uploaded to CTO for all members on or after June 1, 2011.
